June White Sox Notes
I hate watching the Sox lose. I hate it. I've becomes spoiled with this team and the fluidity that comes with winning. Yes, I know. That's a big word. Let's get right into it:
- The Tigers just beat the Yankees and stopped the bleeding of their 4 game losing streak. They did it in the 9th inning.
- We have a couple of first place teams coming to town. First the Rangers, then the Tigers. We need to win both these series at home.
- The Indians are coming to the Cell after the Rangers and Tigers series. We could have finished the Indians off early this season if we could have won this past 4 game set in Cleveland. We get an early second chance and at home. Put that nail in the coffin.
- Detroit is 20-7 on the road. Are you kidding me? We need to change that next week.
- Garland goes tomorrow against the Rangers. Jon needs to step up as the rest of our pitchers are stuggling
- The bullpen needs help. I don't think Thorton, Politte or Nelson can be dependable. McCarthy is still making rookie mistakes and Cotts has to step up.
- I haven't seen Bobby Jenks in a few games. That's not good. Every day he doesn't pitch means we are either losing big, or he is in the bullpen eating. Neither get us the division title.
- Where are the bats? Where is the offense? What the hell is going on? Were is all ball? Pods needs to get on base more and Tad has to stop striking out. Can we please start manufaturing runs?
- JD has 16 homers. That's pretty impressive.
- Center field is not our main problem, no matter how many times Macowiak looks like he is running backwards on a log. It's the bullpen.

Finally, we're 2 and a half games out of first. Let the record show that I want us to sweep Texas at home. And the Tigers while we're talking about it.
