Boston Wins the 2008 NBA Title
I don't hate Boston. I actually had a ton of fun visiting during the 5 years my brother was out there training. It is a great town. Its sports fans....well, lets just say they are passionate. Damn it if they don't always win something. I know there are questions about the league's integrity (I'll write something up on this soon) but I can't say I'm not happy for the Celtics. Here are two reasons: KG, and Doc Rivers.
Doc especially, because he is a Chicago guy. Yea, I guess I can say that KG is an adopted Chicago guy too but no one in this audience remembers that he played at Farragut. Even fewer remember the great Chicago Public School baller, Ronnie Fields who was on that team. Damn they were good.
Anyway. I wanted to send a shout out to Doc. Congrats Doc. You deserve it. Now please come back home and show John Paxson how its done.
